Let Melody's Expertise Work For You

A lifelong resident of the Puget Sound area, Melody has seen this dynamic region change over the years. She has been involved in committees and activities that make our part of the state a better place to live. Melody has been a homeowner and real estate investor since 1984. Prior to becoming a licensed real estate agent, she dealt with a number of agents who helped her and her family with their personal transactions. She became astutely aware that not all agents are alike! Melody has found that real estate is the perfect opportunity to put her business and marketing experience, strong work ethic, caring nature, and in-depth knowledge of the market to work helping others reach success in one of their most important investments – their family’s home. Melody sees every day as an opportunity to make a positive difference in her clients’ lives. She is dedicated to protecting her clients and providing them with the highest level of service and results, backed by the highest standard of integrity. And the difference is clear. With her extensive knowledge of the area, Melody is a great resource for local information and issues that matter most to you, from school districts to neighborhood characteristics. She is adamant about keeping current on all local, state and national guidelines and laws. She is a multi-year winner of the Seattle Magazine 5 Star “Best In Client Satisfaction” award, given to less than 7% of the area agents.

CRS, ABR, CNE, GRI, CSP, ASP, e-PRO What do all those letters mean?

Continuing education allows Melody to conduct her business with professional expertise, authoritative counsel, and superior customer service. To do the best for her clients, Melody feels it’s important to keep up with today’s real estate procedures, trends, laws, and technology. She strives to perform at a high level of professionalism and has a keen understanding of the real estate industry. Her education includes several professional designations.

CNE - Certified Negotiation Expert. Buying and selling real estate is the biggest financial transaction most people will make. If you are buying or selling your home, with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line, it’s best to have someone you can trust who will best represent your interests when you get to the negotiation table. An agent who carries the CNE designation has taken the additional time to be trained in professional negotiation skills, through leading-edge practices and techniques, to achieve better results and protections for their client.

CRS - Certified Residential Specialist   The CRS is the highest credential awarded to real estate agents, with only 3% of all residential agents in the country earning it. A CRS has completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate. They have more experience, education and training than the average agent and adhere to a strict code of ethics. When you work with Melody, you can be assured that you’ve teamed with the most professional agent who will work to get the best price and terms and guide you through a smoother transaction process.

ABR – Accredited Buyer Representative  More than one million people in the United States are licensed real estate agents. Of those licensees, fewer than 2% are Accredited Buyer Representatives. This designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. They must pass required testing and document millions of dollars’ worth of closed transactions as a buyer’s representative to attain this designation. For buyers, this makes Melody uniquely qualified to work with you to make sure you get the most for your money. These 3 letters tell you that you’ll be working with someone committed to your best interest, who has demonstrated the abilities needed to provide the finest in buyer representation.

Realtor® Though the public often calls us all “Realtors”, not all agents are actual Realtors®. Realtors® are members of the National Association of Realtors® and their state and local Realtor® Associations. An agent does not have to be a Realtor® to be a licensed agent in the State of Washington, but those agents who are, are held to higher ethical standards than regularly licensed agents and must adhere to a Code of Ethics which is strictly enforced by the local Realtor® Association. To assure you’re working with an agent who has high integrity, be sure to ask if they belong to the National Association of Realtors®
